I wanted to warn everyone that thecommitted.net will be down for much of the day on Saturday. I'll just copy part of the e-mail that my hosts sent to explain it:
Recently Affinity Internet was acquired by Hostway Corporation. After carefully analyzing the two company's products and services to determine how our customers would best benefit from this acquisition, it was determined that your dedicated server will need to be relocated from Miami Florida to Hostway's Tampa Florida datacenter.
This move is scheduled to take place beginning July 27, 2007 at 8 PM EDT. Servers will be moved incrementally from Miami to Tampa between 8 PM on July 27th and 4 AM on July 28th. The outage time on each server is expected to be 12-15 hours. For example, if your server is taken off line at 8 PM on July 27th, we expect your server to return online between 8 AM and 11 AM on July 28th. All servers are expected to be online by 7 PM on July 28th.
NOTE from Susan: Due to time zone differences around the world, I would expect that only members from North or South America are likely to find the site down on Friday. For everyone else, it should be out for most of Saturday but back up by the time you all wake up on Sunday. Those in North and South America should find the site back on Saturday evening.
Sorry for any inconvenience, but I can't do anything about it.... cross your fingers that all goes well....

Judging by the first new Forum post, I'd say it was about 5:30am US Central time.
Obviously, they missed their deadline on moving the servers! My brother the server administrator thinks it was insane to expect to move approximately 4,000 servers in 23 hours. As of 12 hours AFTER they were supposed to be finished, they had only 50% of the servers plugged in at the new location. Several hours later, they finished getting power to them, but not all of the servers responded like they should have. They had to troubleshoot them individually.
Glad to be back online... On the plus side, I got a lot of work done this weekend! :)
