Well it looks like I'm slacking again at sending newsletters, since the last one was June 18! I'm tired of all the unsubstantiated rumors so I figured it was time to lay out all of the OFFICIAL news that we have.
THE NEW SINGLE
Westlife's new single is a cover of Michael Buble's song "Home" from 2005. The single will be released on October 29th (moved from the first published date of October 22nd). Dublin's Q102 radio station got the world premiere of the single just over a week ago. I recorded it from the radio station online along with a telephone interview with manager Louis Walsh introducing the song.

Westlife's new album will be entited "Back Home" and is due for release on November 12th... yes, two weeks after the single this year! The album in described as a collection of brand new tracks mixed in with a few timeless classics... which means "Home" will not be the only cover song on the album. Westlife.com reported back in August that the guys worked with a whole host of top producers, including Steve Mac, Quiz/Larossi, Per + David, Jorgen Elofsson and Maratone (Rami, Antor + Savan).
THE NEW VIDEO
In late August, Westlife flew to Los Angeles to record the video for "Home". Reports say that Asian actress Linda Wang acted in the video as the wife of an English navy officer. The video is about an English navy officer going back home safely during the World War. Thanks to Alesia for translating this from Chinese. On Tuesday, more scenes for the video will be shot in the UK.
THE NEW DVD
As most everyone knows, Westlife did not record any concerts from this year's tour for a DVD. :(
However, it was just reported that they recorded footage last week for a special DVD that will be availably exclusively in Woolworths, containing brand new unseen footage and interviews. There has been no word yet on the DVD's release in Ireland or the rest of the world. Woolworths is only in the UK and does not ship to overseas addresses.
THE NEW TOUR
Despite almost daily rumors of new ticket sale dates, there is still no official word on any dates for concerts or ticket sales. My advice is to stop stressing and just be patient.

We've had a few polls over the last 3 months. The most recent Poll asked, what tour's medley was your favorite? And the results are....

It's a shame that we won't get to see the 2007 tour immortalized in a DVD. :(

UPCOMING TV
Last week, the guys recorded their first TV performance of ‘Home’ for T4, which will be broadcast on 20th October.
According to the Sun, Westlife are planning a program showcasing the new album's tracks, to air just before the X-Factor talent show on ITV. A source said: "It will be a Saturday night type of show so it'd be great to run it before the semi-final or final of The X factor as the ratings have been good so far."
This year's Children in Need concert is set for November 16th. No performers have been announced yet, but Westlife always seem to appear!
The Irish Star reported that Westlife will star in a Late Late Show special as part of RTE’s Christmas schedule, to be recorded on December 21. There has been no further info about this special.

great site my friend showed it to me when she was here from newcastle i love it been to 64 westlife concerts great to read what other fans have to say and get info to keep us up to date with what is going on
