First, an update on our server issues. The DNS fix implemented last month didn't do the trick. Now the hosts think the version of Apache (the software that runs the server) is out-dated... probably true since I've had the server since April 2004. I'm not aware of ever getting an e-mail or otherwise notified that it needed to be updated. They said they'll update for free if I back up the server and tell them to go ahead. I have so much going on that I haven't had time to call them during the day to ask if this is just a precaution, or if the update will wipe everything out. They will not help me with backing up the server unless I pay them more money, so if it will definitely wipe everything out, then I need help with backing up.
WESTLIFE ON THE CHARTS
The "Home" single got #3 in the UK and #2 in Ireland last week. It is #2 in Ireland again this week (behind X-Factor winner Leona Lewis), while it looks like #5 in the UK charts that end on this coming Sunday.
The "Back Home" album debuted at #1 in Ireland and is a sure bet for #1 in the UK this Sunday!! Also the Woolworth's-exclusive "Back Home" DVD is going to be #1 on the DVD charts. Way to go, Westlife!

WESTLIFE OUT AND ABOUT
Westlife had big album signings at the HMV Grafton St in Dublin on November 2 and at Harrod's in London on November 5.
The guys also attended the big London event to turn on the Christmas lights on Oxford Street this week. They also performed a couple of songs. Mark and Kevin attedned the "White Diamonds" UK premiere. The couples, along with Brian, were spotted at an "Audience with Celine Dion" taping.

I apologize for the trouble some people have been having with recent videos. They all play fine on my PC, so I'm not aware that there are problems until uploading them. Having so many members helping out with recording or saving files from online inevitably means many different video formats. If you play a video and have no sound or no picture, you are missing a codec. Because my PC is almost 4 years old, I installed the codecs ages ago and have no clue what exactly any memeber may be missing. Try these websites for the main codecs:

A reminder for the many newbies: If you click the "Broken Downloads" button and do not tell me what is wrong, I will delete your message and not reply. I can't read minds!!! It's unbelievable how many people still sign up and do this. Most of the time the "problems" are just members not using the recommended download managers and not getting full files or members trying to download the password-protected Video Requests without donating. Read the Help or FAQ FIRST!
Also for recent newbies: If you have a credit card, or know someone who does, you can donate an annual fee of $5 via PayPal (or send US$ or euro cash via snail mail) to access all of my older videos on a by-request basis.
